Subject: ICC 10 Normal — The Lich King: playerbot assist tank moves behind a pillar at pull and dies out of healer line of sight
Hello! Reporting a playerbots strategy issue in Icecrown Citadel (10 Normal), character Aigul (Horde).
Boss: The Lich King, Phase 1, right at the start of the fight.
What happens: when the raid has a second (assist) tank bot, the bot’s encounter strategy sends it to a fixed position at one of the pillars on the edge of the Frozen Throne platform as soon as the fight starts. Once it stands there, the pillar blocks line of sight, healer bots can no longer heal it, and the assist tank dies from incoming damage. That part of the platform later collapses during the encounter anyway, so the position is not safe even if the tank survives Phase 1. Without the assist tank, the Shambling Horrors and the rest of the encounter cannot be handled.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enter ICC 10 Normal with two tank bots (main tank + assist tank) and healer bots.
- Pull The Lich King.
- Immediately after the pull, the assist tank runs to the pillar position.
- Healer bots stop healing it (no line of sight), and it dies.
Expected: the assist tank’s position should stay in line of sight of the healers and away from the part of the platform that collapses, or the healer bots should move to keep healing it.
Could you check the assist tank position in the playerbots Lich King strategy? It would also help to know which playerbots build the server runs, so I can tell whether this strategy is already fixed upstream.
Thank you!
